In one paragraph
BiteCast is a fishing forecast app for iPhone. It gives any lake, river or stretch of coast a Fish Score from 0 to 100 for every hour of the next eight days, tuned to the species you are fishing for, and lists the factors behind today's score: water temperature, pressure trend, wind, light, and on the coast, tide, sea temperature and waves. It also has a map of 300,000 ranked fishing spots, a photo fish identifier, a 300-species guide with the baits and colors that work, and an AI fishing coach. BiteCast is built by an independent team and launched in July 2026.

Story angles
- A forecast that shows its working. Most bite forecasts give a number or a row of fish icons with no explanation. BiteCast lists what is helping and hurting every hour.
- Why the moon matters less than you think. BiteCast shows solunar times because anglers ask for them, but the score leans on water temperature, pressure, wind, light and tide, which the evidence supports far better.
- Water temperature decides the bite. Every one of the 300 species in BiteCast has its own feeding temperature band, published free in the species guide.
